August

August was a good month.
Tanner is the sweetest little baby.  He's so good.  He never cries.  He started smiling at us everytime we would look at him when he was just a few weeks old.  He eats like a champion.

3 days old...

The girls LOVE to hold him.  I put him on the little boppy pillow and they will sit there and hold him for a good half an hour without moving.

Look at those chubby cheeks

I think they might be twins...

The girls started school.  Kaia is in Kindergarten this year.  It's crazy.  I watch her climb out of the car and walk in to that big huge school with her backpack that is bigger than she is.  Her teacher's name is Mrs Walker & Mrs. Gabriel is the helper in her class.  She LOVES school.  She's reading so well.  She always talks about her friends Gabby and Caroline.

Dusky is such a good dad.  He wakes up every morning, gets the girls dressed, feeds them breakfast, makes their lunch, and takes them to school so that I can sleep in.

The girls have been such good workers,  They come home from school and get their homework and all their chores done.

Regan and his wife drove through on their way home from North Carolina.  It was fun to see them.  We set up the big screen in the back yard and watched "Hot Rod" in memory of Tanner.

Tanner went to church when he was almost 3 weeks old.
Dressed in his sunday best!

I sure love these boys of mine.

Kaia was taking piano lessons.  It was crazy because I would pick her straight up from school and we would have to drive for 40 minutes to get her there.  The kids were always so loud and fighting, but I found the trick to keeping them quiet.  Blizzards from McDOnalds!  WHOO HOO!

It's crazy how big your kids look when you have a brand new baby

 He LOVES bathtime.
She does this a lot....but we love her anyway.
At first she was very upset about the new baby.
I said to her "He's so cute!" and she said "No, he's buggy!"
She always tells me to "put him away in his swing now"

Luckily after a few weeks she got over it and she absolutely loves him now.  She's not constantly hanging on my leg either, and she goes to nursery without throwing a fit.

Grandma and Grandpa Goulding came out for a few days.  It was so fun having them here.

Tanner's Here

Better late than never....

Well, I thought I was NEVER going to have him, but he finally arrived.
I went to my appointment on Monday (7/30) and I asked the midwife about inducing me since I was 39 weeks and 3 days.  She said they wouldn't talk about inducing me until 41 weeks.  What the heck?  I told her that if she made me wait until 41 weeks I would have a 10 pound baby.  That's when she felt my stomach and said "Oh, this isn't even an 8 pound baby!)

hahahahahaha

We went and played softball that night.  As soon as we got home, we put the girls to bed and sat down to watch tv.  About 10:30 I started having contractions.  They started about 10 minutes apart.  They kept getting closer and closer together and hurting worse and worse.  I was a bit reluctant to go to the hospital because I didn't want to get sent home.  My state of mind was fragile :)

Finally at about midnight we called Zach and told him to come over and sit with the kids.

We drove in to the hospital and I was so scared that my contractions were going to stop (like they always do) and I was going to get sent home.

When we got there they took us into one of the rooms and the midwife came in.  She checked me and I was at a 5, almost 6.  She said they would get me admitted and get my iv going.

They immediately took me to a room and hooked me up to the fluid.  As soon as the bag went through me the anesthesiologist came in to give me my epidural.  She had trouble getting it in.  She had to redo it.  It kind of freaked me out.

A little while later Dusky had ran out to the car to get something and the nurse said "Do you feel okay?"  I told her I was okay, but right about then I started feeling kind of wierd.  She said my blood pressure dropped really low, but she started taking it again to see if it was a mistake.  All of a sudden, I got really dizzy and nauseous and started to black out.  I heart her get on her little walkie talkie thing and yell for someone to bring something in.  A nurse came running in and pushed some medicine into my iv.  I immediately started getting my vision back and started feeling a little better.  It was so wierd.  About two minutes later it happened again.  So she shot some more medicine in my iv and I was fine again.  That happened about 5 or 6 times.  It was really wierd.  It was scaring me.  I felt so wierd.  Finally she called the anesthesiologist and they sent some stronger medicine in.  It helped my heart rate but it made the babys heart rate go crazy for a minute.

After a little while the midwife came in to break my water.  She started to break my water and as soon as she stuck her finger up there the baby jumped back up inside.  She said it was the wierdest thing.  She's never had that happen before.  She said I had more fluid than she had ever seen.  It took her about 20 minutes to break my water because there was sooo much fluid and the baby was so high up that she didn't want anything to come down before his head.  At one point he stuck his finger down and she had to pinch them to get him to pull them back up.  They found a little bit of Mechonium in my water at the end so they had to order a neonatal respiratory therapist for the delivery.

She came and checked a few hours later and I was only between a 6 and 7, so she decided to give me a little piton.  That got things going.  about an hour later I was ready to push.  It was a pretty easy process the 4th time around.  He was posterior but he turned half way before he came out, so he was looking right at Dusky.

When she pulled him out we were all shocked at how big he was.
He is the most beautiful little boy ever!  and I'm so excited I have a son.
He was born 7/31/12 at 7:10am 8lbs. 14oz. 21 3/4" long.

They took him as soon as I got to see him for a second and they immediately took a little tool and started pounding the heck out of his chest.  It was so sad.  I wanted to hurt the guy doing it.
Dusky just kept saying "He's so cute!"  And he sure is.

Getting ready...
Here he is
