TRIATHALON...WOOT WOOT!!!

YEEHAW...We finished the Peachtree City Triathalon! Zach, Naomi and I all did it. It was really fun.
It was a 480 meter swim, 15 mile bike, 5k run.
Almost the same as the one I did in Alabama except the swim was a little longer. My time for the Alabama one was 1hour and 32 minutes, and that was 5 years ago before I had any kids. So my goal this time was to beat that. This time I got 1 hour and 29 minutes. So I was happy. But after I looked at my split times, I know I could have done WAY better.
The swim was kind of difficult. I had not trained for it at all. I swam one time at lake powell and once in peachtree city lake but both of them were a good month and a half before the race.
My goal for the bike was to beat 55 minutes and I did it in 44, which totally suprised me. i usually really STINK at the bike. But the bike was my only saving grace in this race.
My run KILLED me. It took me 29 minutes. I felt like my legs were filled with lead.
I'm kind of addicted though. I had a lot of fun. And I want to do another one. Plus, it was really fun doing it with Zach and Naomi.
Dusky brought the girls and they were so cute. Everytime I would pass them they would yell "GO MOMMY GO! GO MOMMY GO!"

The swim course
Running my bike through the transition area.

Zach on the bike.
He did AWESOME! His overall time was 1:18. And he did that with very little training.
Naomi on the Bike. Her overall time was 2:01.
I can't believe she did a triathalon less than a year after a MAJOR back surgery.
She's a trooper

Vinyl...

Rennie is awesome and she made vinyl for my house. I LOVE it.
Check out her site. www.graffiti-gal.blogspot.com.
She can do anything. I told her I wanted a tree and sent a picture of it and she made it.

P.S. I made this new bedding for them. I was always scared to try bedding but I just got patterns off the internet and it was sooo easy.

My Daughter goes to Preschool...

HOLY SMOKES!!!
Kaia started preschool last week. She absolutely LOVES it! She's so cute. She goes 3 days a week from 9:00-1:00.
We went to buy her a backpack and a lunch box. She picked the BIGGEST back pack for the smallest girl. I tried so hard to talk her out of it but she insisted. It is as big as her. And she sleeps with her lunch box everynight. It's so funny
I dropped her off Tuesday morning for her first day. We walked, she said Hi to the teacher, hung her bag on her little hook that had her name on it, some little girl came running up and said "hi my name is so and so" (i forgot her name), and they ran off into the classroom together. I yelled at her and said "Kaia, tell me bye!" and she said "BYE!" and ran back in the classroom.
haha. what a funny girl. I seriously wanted to cry all day.
But she has had so much fun. She got her first award last week and it was for being a good friend. I love her teacher. She's so sweet.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
8/10/10

Kaia and Sienna have been playing airplane a lot. They get themselves ready, go to the airport, sit in the airplane and then go to Utah to Grandma Goulding's house. It's pretty funny. This is how they dressed themselves for the airplane this morning.

Yes, those are tights. and yes, the heart is supposed to go over the butt.
I took Eja and went to Utah for the weekend. Me, Tricia, and Tana did a booth at the county fair. It was fun to hang out with Tana and Tricia. We laughed a lot.
I got to see Sara's baby. He's so cute and little. We had to take pictures of little Chunky Monkey next to Ryder. It was funny!
Eja would not have a nap the other day. I kept putting her in bed and she would sleep for like 3 minutes. She usually just goes right to sleep so I thought maybe she wasn't tired. I laid her down and went to make lunch and this is what I found. She rolled over, put her face in the blanket, and totally passed out. So cute!

I love these girls!!!

My garden is fun. I get sooo many cucumbers. We eat tons, I give a lot to my mom and friends. They grow like crazy. I also get lots squash, tomatoes, jalapenos, and bell peppers.
My mom gave us a pack of the 'Hatch Patch Creations' Family Home Evening packets. They are really cool. Its fun for the girls to plan lessons. This was one the armour of God.

Washington DC and such...

Last Monday we went to Blue Ridge with the Richards for the day. ALways a good time with them. Then on Tuesday Dusky and I took the girls to Washington DC. I'm a IDIOT and I didn't take one picture the whole time. We got up there and checked in at our hotel (which was in the GHETTO). I booked the room and I didn't realize where it was. It was kind of scary to go outside. haha.
Tuesday we rode the marta in (the girls loved the train). We saw the Washington Memorial, World War II Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, and the White House.
The next day we went to the Air and Space Museum and then LaRene and Emma came up and met us for lunch. It was so fun to see them. We hung for a few hours with them and then headed back to the airport and caught a flight home.
Our kids were AWESOME! They did so much walking and they didn't complain at all.

Eja had her 4 month check up finally (now that she is 5 months old). She weighs 20 pounds. She's still in the 99th percentile for her weight, 77th for her height, and 75th for her head. Her thighs are as big as mine already. Shes so dang cute. She's the sweetest little baby. She laughs all day long.

The other day Sienna fell asleep in the car and I carried her to her bed without having her go to the bathroom. When she woke up I heard her say to herself "UUUGGGH, I peed myself.....DANGIT!!!" It was so funny. What a cute little girl she is.

Last night I was reading scriptures to the girls. I sometimes wonder if they are getting anything out of our scripture reading. We had been reading the last chapter in 1st Nephi. It talks alot about how the righteous don't need to fear and the wicked will be destroyed. About 20 minutes after we finished Kaia didn't do something I asked her to and I said "Kaia, what happens when we don't obey?" and she looked at me with HUGE eyes, a really serious face and said "Is Jesus going to destroy me?"
haha
I guess she listens more than I think.
