Birthdays, Parties, and Thanksgiving....

I know that I stink at updating my blog lately but we've just been playing too hard!!! We've been going to every Red River Academy basketball game. Our teams are doing really well and Kaia loves to run around the gym and get attention from all of the kids. She is especially in love with Max Dugas. She walks around all day saying "I want Doogie!" So he has become our little babysitter.

Last week my wonderful friends (Robin, Naomi, Kate, Adriann, and Beth) suprised me and took me to dinner at Logan's Roadhouse for my birthday. By the time we left my stomach hurt so bad and I had the worst headache from laughing so hard. I seriously haven't laughed that hard in a long time. It was a blast!

On my real birthday we loaded the car up and drove to Georgia. My Grandma Barney, Tana, Tricia, Naomi, Tasha and my mom were all there for a girls weekend. And the boys were all there to tend the kids. We played a lot, went to dinner, went to Twilight, got massages and did a lot of shopping. Took the kids to the park. Kaia loves to throw rocks in the lake and get muddy. It was so fun to see everyone. I love my family so much.

And of course, the boys did a lot of hunting.

For Thanksgiving the Jones Family and Reimer Family came to our house. The food was sooooooo good. I'm still sick from eating too much.

Don't worry, those are just IBC Rootbeers. =)

Things I am Thankful For.........

My wonderful husband. He's the best husband and dad in the world. He keeps life very excited. Never a dull moment with that one.

My Beautiful kids.

Kaia is freakin' hilarious. She keeps sitting here telling me "Mommy, I love you infiniti!" She acts a lot like her dad and she makes my life EXTREMELY exciting.

Sienna is the sweetest little thing ever. She has always been such a good sleeper (not counting the first 2 weeks). She sleeps a good 8-10 hours every night before waking up to eat. Then she goes right back to sleep after her bottle. Also, she has always been a good eater. I never knew that getting your kids to eat could be so easy. In fact, she wants nothing to do with bottles anymore. That could be a problem, but she just loves real food too much.

My whole family.....Parents, brothers, sisters, in-laws, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins. I feel so blessed to have been raised in such a wonderful family.

The gospel....I'm so glad that my parents taught me the teachings of the gospel from the start. I didn't have to find it on my own, or change the way I lived half way through my life.

Our home, our job, our clothes, our food, our cars, our health.

I've been so blessed.

SERENITY NOW!!!

Just as I finished with that last post, this is what I found Kaia doing.............

FYI...If you don't know how sticky palm aid is-It's very sticky.

SERENITY NOW!!!!!!

MORE MESSES AND CUTE KIDS....

Well I called Lana the other day to wish her a happy birthday. I was seriously on the phone with her for like 3 minutes. And in the middle of that conversation Kaia got on the phone and talked to her. So in a matter of about 2 1/2 minutes Kaia managed to dump out all of the sand that goes under my candles on the floor and in her hair, wipe it across the piano bench and down her pants and then sit in it so it was all over her butt, then she dumped a whole bottle of ajax out in the tub, through the bathroom, and down the hall. Seriously!!! The pictures don't do it justice because you can't tell how much is on the carpet.

Then a little while later she came in from playing outside and she had mud all over her coat, face, hands and shoes. I said "Kaia what happened?" and she said "I fall down!"
I looked outside and there was a huge mud puddle that she had "fallen" into. Ya right! She totally jumped into it on purpose.

Kaia and dad eating a "pomedammit"Little Senny is crawling all over the place, picking stuff up off of the floor and choking on it. I guess I have to start keeping my floors SUPER clean again like I had to do with Kaia.
She also is in the process of getting her first tooth. She's totally miserable and onery. But it finally broke through yesterday.
What a little cutie pants!

HAPPY HALLOWEINER!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

The BEST Halloween costume ever. As I was pondering what to be for Halloween this year my memory brought me back to this time and place. Yes, we made these 3 Amigo outfits ourselves. Well, Everything except the sombreros which were gracefully donated by the Gouldings-straight from Mexico.

This year we started our Halloween festivities with a pumpkin carving contest. Which Dusky totally won. Mine is the plain, stupid looking one and the other three are Dusky's.

We attended the Ash football game and Kaia and Layla had a blast running around the bleachers.
Halloween day activies included.....

Me making a cake. This is the first time I tried to make a ball shaped cake (the pumpkin) Obviously I need a lot of practice because it had totally died by the time we got home that night.

We went to Maggies house for a little while. Kaia was Minnie Mouse and Sienna was a butterfly.
I loved the Rattatoille chef. He was so cute!

And of course, Buzz Lightyear.

We met the Cameron, Walker, Jones, Reimer, and Pete Families at the park and went Trick-or-Treating in that neighborhood. They really get into Halloween there. They all had their houses decorated and they were all dressed up. There were so many trick-or-treaters. It was crazy. One thing I do like about Louisiana is every Halloween people sit out on their front porches, dressed up in AWESOME costumes, and wait for the kids to come.

After Trick-or-treating we all came back to my house and partied the night away. It was fun. I love my Louisiana friends.
