A little journaling.....
My kids are both sleeping so I have to write a few things down while I still remember them. This is for journaling purposes so sorry if you get bored reading.
First of all, although Sunday was the day Sienna officially turned 18 months old, this is her 3rd week of nursery and she LOVES it. (And so do I) I went to take Kaia a few weeks ago and Sienna ran in and started playing with the toys so the nursery leaders said I could just leave her in there-and that was that. The week before this she bawled her eyes out because I wouldn't let her go in with Kaia.
Last week we didn't have anyone to watch the nursery kids, so I told the primary president that I would sit in there for a few minutes until she got back. I sat there for about 5 minutes and this is what I witnessed. There was a total of like 10 kids. 7 of them had their parents sitting right by their side trying to calm them down and then there was Kaia, Sienna, and another little girl playing in the middle of the floor by themselves. It was crazy. None of the parents would leave their kids, so I finally said "I told her I would stay, but since there is 8 adults in here, and my kids could care less if i'm here or not, I'm going to class" So I got up and walked out and neither of my kids even gave me the time of day. Well actually when I said bye I think Kaia's exact words were "Peace Out Mom!"
I'm so happy that my girls love each other so much and they play together so well. We were playing at the mall toys the other day and there were 2 little girls Kaia's age. They were all running around together and everytime Sienna would get close to them the little girls would yell "THE BABY IS COMING!" and they would all run away from her. Sienna totally didn't care. She thought they were playing a game and she was laughing her head off as she chased them, but it must have really upset Kaia. After a few times of saying this, Kaia turned to one of the girls and said "Can't she just play with us now?" It was so cute.
It is amazing to me how well Kaia retains things. Everytime she puts something together herself, or talks to me like an adult would it blows my mind that her little brain works so well. We were watching 'America's Funniest Home Videos' the other night and they kept showing the preview for 'Dirty Dancing.' They kept showing the part where he says "Nobody puts baby in a corner!" A few hours later I put Sienna in time out (in the corner) and Kaia said "Mom, nobody puts baby in a corner!"
Then, during sacrament meeting I was humbled. I always thought that if my kids ever said naughty things it would be because of Dusky. But it's always something that they have learned from me. (Luckily, because his naughtywords are worse than mine) They were saying the sacrament prayer and Sienna unfolded her arms so Kaia yelled out from across the bench "Sienna, fold your STINKIN' arms!) It was so loud and nobody could get composure for the rest of the prayer. The people behind us were shaking the bench and I couldn't even discipline Kaia at that moment because I was laughing too hard.
Sienna is finally starting to talk. It's really fun when she says a new word for the first time. I thought it wouldn't be as exciting after the first kid, but it is. Everytime we do something that Sienna doesn't like, she points her finger in our face and says "UH-UH" or "NO, NO, NO!" She also points to my belly and says baby. She loved to pretend she is talking on the phone. She picks it up and says "Hi Dad"
I got a call from my mom this morning and she was laughing so hard she could barely talk. She said she got a call from this guy in her business group and he was acting really wierd. This is how the conversation went:
Guy: Diane, did you call me a few days ago?
Mom: No
Guy: Are you sure?
Mom: Yes, I'm sure
Guy: (goes silent for a minute) Diane, are you sure you're alright? Do you need something?
Mom: I'm fine, I'm sure I don't need anything
She hung up feeling really wierd. So she was driving down the street later that day and she remembered that Sienna was playing with her phone a few days ago. So she called the guy back and said "Tell me about that phone call the other day" So he said "I saw that you were calling on my caller ID so I said 'Hi Diane' and you didn't say anything back I could just hear you breathing really loud into the phone." So my mom explained to him that it was her granddaughter that had called him and she doesn't know how to talk so she just breathes into the phone. I think he thought she was calling to seduce him or something. It was soooooooo hilarious! My mom said " Ya right! If I was going to call someone and do that to them, I would at least push *69 first"

Baby update
I had a doctors appointment yesterday. Everything is going good with baby #3. I got all my blood tests back and I am happy to announce that I am not anemic with this pregnancy (Thanks Juice Plus). This is the 1st pregnancy that I haven't had to take major-make me sick- iron pills on top of the prenatal vitamins. I scheduled my ultra sound for 3 weeks from yesterday, so I'm taking votes.....
I'm not even guessing this time because I was wrong with the last two!

My little Angel face....
I forgot to write about this, and it is something I want to remember. I was laying on the couch-sicker than a dog. I seriously couldn't move an inch without feeling like I was going to barf everywhere. Sienna came in and started pulling ALL of the movies and CD's off the shelf. I made a little frustrated moaning sound and Kaia said "mom, what's wrong?" I said "Sienna is pulling everything off the shelf." So Kaia said "mom, are you sick?......then she patted me on the cheek and said "Don't worry, I'll clean it up!" She immediatly went over and picked up all the movies and put them back in their spot. She's such a sweet little thing.

HOORAY FOR SCOTCH TAPE...
" AAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!" I'm soooooo sick of redressing Sienna every five seconds. Maybe I am a horrible person, but for my own sanity and the well being of my youngest daughter I have resorted to tape. Okay, I ONLY tape the diaper around her so she can't get it off, but I've been really close to taping her whole outfit a few times. Love her so much! Wish she would keep her stinkin' clothes on. Now everytime I get her dressed kaia says "mom, you want me to go get the tape?"Posted by GOULDING CLAN at 12:03 PM 2 comments
