GOOD JOB DUSKY!

This is a shout out to my wonderful husband. I've put him to work the last week. He dug out a border all along our house and filled it with rocks so I could get pots and plant flowers. He made me a grow box so I could have a garden, and now he's going to put up a fence in front of our house so we can go outside and I won't have to chase Kaia all day long.

Then he cooked me dinner.

PLUS, he's a great dad!

Thanks Dusky! You're the best husband in the world. I love you!

More Pictures

Here are a few pictures for you all to enjoy. Look at how big Sienna is.....

I have to make this blockade when I put Sienna in her swing so Kaia doesn't attack.

Kaia used to say "HI!" But now she has learned to say "Hello!" It's kind of funny

This one is for you mom. (Kaia is obsessed with shoes-just like her mom and dad)

More Adventures of Kaia...

Here is my little stinky pants! Or should I say stinky head? Yes, that is the toilet seat from the new big girl potty that we bought her. She doesn't actually want to use it to go to the bathroom on. She likes it as a hat.

I got up yesterday morning and got Kaia ready for the day. I put her clothes on, fixed her hair and sent her on her way. I was doing Trisha Green's hair and we walked over to the school to wash it out. On my way to the back door I noticed Kaia's clothes in a pile on the deck COVERED IN MUD!

Dusky had both of the girls outside. Kaia was behind him and he heard a big splash and then "UH OH!" He turned around to find this.....

Off she goes to the bath tub again. So I fixed her up again. Put her in a cute little outfit, did her hair (curled it this time with the curling iron) and once again-sent her on her way.

I filled the bath for Sienna and by the time I got her clothes off and brought her in the bathroom Kaia had got into the bath tub with her clothes on. She was completely soaked. But this time I just sent her outside to dry off cause it was a hot Louisiana day. Good thing because we had to give her a 3rd bath by the end of the day. We planted flowers and she was once again covered in dirt.

One whole month!

Today my little Sienna is 1 month old. She is HUGE!!! I love her little chubby body. Every once in a while I think "Man, I wish she would let me lay her down for a few hours so I could get something done" but she layed in her carseat for most of the day and I missed her so much. Tonight while I was holding her I realized how glad I am that she demands some attention from me because it's easy to think of all the things that need to get done around the house and not spend enough time with your children. They don't let you hold them like that for very long so I'm going to take advantage of it while I can. She's so sweet. I love her!

A day in the life of Nicole

Well, my day started out like this.....feeding Sienna at 1:00am. She loves to eat. She takes a LONG time. I think it seems longer when it's the middle of the night. Not only does she take a long time, but she won't go back to sleep after. So about 2:00am I am completely exhausted and little baby still won't sleep. She screams everytime I lay her down. My wonderful husband says "Go back to sleep, I'll take the baby" So I take him up on that offer (even though he spend an hour trying to get her back to sleep the last time (which happens to be a few hours ago) and I go to sleep. I wake up and look over to see Dusky completely passed out on his side of the bed and Sienna wrapped up in his arms sleeping like a little angel.

Right about the time I get into a good sleep again I wake up to Kaia screaming her head off. She wants to get out of bed and play. It's a little too early for that so I get her and put her in bed with us. Thank goodness for our king size bed, because I don't think our little family of 4 would have fit so nicely in our queen.

A while later, after feeding Sienna again, I wake up to Kaia crawling over my head saying "BABY!" I realize what is about to happen but it's too late. Kaia's finger goes right into Sienna's eyeball and she yells "EYE" I tell her not to poke little sister in the eye, so she grabs Sienna's binkie, slides off the bed, and runs from me as fast as she can. Now it's time to get out of bed.

Kaia throws a lot of fits today. Sienna screams everytime I put her down. Thank goodness for baby backpacks. They allow me to strap Sienna to myself and still have two free hands. If not for them I wouldn't get anything done.

As I'm bathing Sienna, Kaia proceeds to take everything out of the garbage can and throw it into the tub-Yes, even the poopy diapers. I keep saying "Kaia, don't play in the garbage, that's yucky!" as she grabs another poopy diaper and throws it into the tub. Kaia finally runs out of the room and by the time I get Sienna out of the tub and dressed I realize that she has drawn all over the wall with pencil, drawn on her leg and face with pen, got into the pan cupboard and pulled out all of the pans, and has every single card from the game Taboo spread across the living room floor. But I don't have time to clean my house because Sienna wants to be fed again. By the way-she's 3 weeks old and she now weighs 10 pounds. Kaia didn't weigh 10 pounds until she was a few months old.

The day continues like this. By nighttime I'm about ready to pass out. Dusky tells me to go to bed, he'll get Sienna to sleep and bring her in. By the way, did I mention that I love my husband. He rocks the world. This night is about the same as every other night.

I wake up the next morning and go into the living room where Dusky is "watching" Kaia. He's asleep on the couch and Kaia is covered from head to toe in oatmeal. (No exaggeration) It's in her hair, her face, her shirt, her pants, the rug, the pillow and smashed into the carpet.

Dusky and I looked at each other and busted up laughing.....Here we go again!

I love my kids! Kaia is so funny! I wouldn't trade my life for anything.

Happy Little Goulding Family

THINGS I'M HAPPY ABOUT.......
1. MY HUSBAND
I have the most wonderful husband in the world. He always makes me laugh. He's my favorite person ever. He's the greatest dad to our two little girls!!!!! He helps me out so much.
Plus he's HOT!

2. MY BABIES...

Kaia & Sienna.
They are so stinkin cute
and they light up my life!

3. GOOD OL' ST. GEORGE FOOD
I love to come to St. George. I love to see family, mountains, etc, but mostly I like the food. I just can't get it in Louisiana:

Cafe Rio
Pizza/Pasta Factory
Tom's Deli
Charlies

4. PREGNANCY/NURSING PILLOWS
They make your life so much more comfortable

5. BABIES WHO EAT GOOD.
Rock on Sienna!!! You're a champion eater. That's why you were 8 pounds. I'm glad I don't have to fight with you every 3 hours like I did with your older sister.

THINGS THAT KAIA IS HAPPY ABOUT....

1. MAKING MESSES...
The fact that she has somehow learned to open the pantry door and get the lid off of the flour bucket. That stuff is fun to play in.

2. GRANDMA'S FLIP FLOPS
They are LARGE on her little feet but she puts them on and walks around in them all day.

3. CANDY!
Someone learned how to open the candy drawer. She's a Choc-a-holic. When it goes quiet in the house, we know where to find Kaia. She's shoving chocolate in her face as fast as she possibly can.

4. OUTSIDE.
From the second she gets up she stands at the door and says "Side?"

5. GRANDPA'S BARNEY'S COWBOY HAT.

6. SOFT PILLOWS AND HER BYE (Blanket-don't ask me why she calls it that)

7. FAST CARS AND FREEDOM

8. LITTLE BABY SISTER....
Every time Sienna starts crying Kaia drops to floor, scowls and yells "WHY? WHY?" Like she's saying, "Not again!" Other than that, all she wants to do is kiss her-and ocassionally lay on her head.

THINGS THAT SIENNA IS HAPPY ABOUT
1. EATING!!!
We went to the doctor last week and she was 7lbs 11 oz. We went today and she is 8lbs 11oz. That's how much she likes to eat.
2. POOPING!!!
3. SLEEPING!!!
And she likes to be held doing all of these things.
