Riding Horses

A few days after Tanner's funeral we decided we needed to take the kids to do something fun.
Uncle Danny and Aunt Wendy came to the rescue.  They let all of the kids come over and ride horses.  It was a huge hit.

Kaia is in LOVE with horses and this was her first time riding one.  She was in heaven.
They all talked about it for weeks.

Kyden got sick of waiting for his turn so he decided to ride the dog instead.
 Cool Dude!

May

May was a busy month.
The girls finished soccer.  Sienna didn't get to play the last few games because of her tonsils and pneumonia but she went along and supported the team!  They all got trophies again, which they were totally excited about.

Dusky told me he would do the baby's room.  I was a little bit nervous because he doesn't usually take interest in any of the decorating around here, so I told him he had to do it soon so if I didn't like it I would have time to redo it. haha
Him and the girls had fun doing it.  They wouldn't let me see it until it was all done.  It was killing me.
But I LOVE it.  THey did awesome.  It's sports themed, with awesome colors.  He even got matching curtains, rug, border, bedding, and pictures to hang on the wall.
IMPRESSIVE.

May 16th the girls had a field trip to the Rock Ranch.  It was such a cute little place.  The girls had a blast.  They went around to a whole bunch of different stations where they got to plant flowers, see animals, etc.  Then they got to play at "Tiny Town" and have lunch.
 Old Time Home
 Planting Seeds
 Milking a cow

 Playing with the animals
The cutest little tiny town I've ever seen...

On May 18th Rob and Sally came home from their mission in Samoa.
Dusky, Kaia, and Sienna went out for a few days to see them.  They had so much fun and they got to meet them at the airport after 18 long months of not seeing Grandma and Grandpa

May 24th was the Preschool Graduation.  It was so cute.  THey sang songs.  Sienna got her little completion diploma and then they dressed Kaia's class up in robes and gave them their diplomas.  I can't believe they are getting so big.  Time is going by too fast.

Eja is so funny.  She started walking around the house one day saying "E,J,A" and I asked her if she knew what that spelled and she said "Eja"  So I took a video of her while she was trying to write it.

April 2012

In April we took a little camping trip with the girls.  It was fun.  The girls had a blast playing in the lake, chasing ducks and throwing rocks into the river.  I was super prego so I didn't sleep at all because the air mattress kept going flat in the night and Sienna was snoring SOOOOOO loud!

We had Easter at mom and dads this year.  We had an easter egg hunt and went swimming

On April 23rd Sienna had her tonsils and adenoids out.
She used to snore soooo loud.  It got really bad.  She would stop breathing every few minutes in the night.  It was really scary.  We were referred to the specialist and he looked at her for about 2 seconds and said "Those need to come out"  They rate them on a 1-5 scale and hers were a 4.  They were taking up the whole back of her throat.  He also said her adenoids were blocking off her nose.

We took her in that morning and she was pretty nervous.
Then they gave her a little drink of something to calm her down and it was the funniest thing.  She immediately started acting loopy.  She was watching a movie and she just kept smiling this big goofy smile.  Dusky and I would laugh and she would start giggling and say "Why are you laughing?"  Then she would get a blank stare, then start giggling again.  It was so funny.

They let Dusky go back with her while they sedated her and it was pretty traumatizing.  I wanted to go, but I'm kind of glad I couldn't.

The surgery took about 20 minutes and then they kept her back in the recovery room until she came out of sedation.  By the time they brought her into us she was pretty upset.  She woke up hurting, and not knowing anyone.  They gave her morphine and then brought her to us.  It was really sad.

They let us go not long after that and she threw up the whole ride home.

The next few days were kind of rough.  She HATED her pain medication because it was disgusting.  It took us so long to get her to drink it.  But if she wouldn't she would start hurting really bad.

They say you usually don't notice when the scabs come off, but one night she came and got in bed with us.  A few minutes later she started coughing and it sounded like she was gurgling.  I looked over and there was blood everywhere.  It was all over her, the pillow, the blankets, and me.  Her whole scab had come off but it was still connected at the top and she was choking on it.  She just kept gagging and then spitting up blood.  It was scary.  I thought we were going to have to take her back in to the hospital, but the bleeding finally stopped.  I stayed awake all night thinking she was going to choke on her scab.  Pretty nasty.

We took her to her two week check up and the doctor looked at her ears and throat and said everything looked good.
Later that day she kept saying she was cold and she wouldn't eat anything.  That afternoon she had a really bad fever.  I called the on call physician and they said they would just refer us back to our pediatrician anyways, but it was after hours.
By the next morning she was wheezing really bad.  I took her into the doctor and they sent us straight over to the hospital for xrays.  Turns out she had pneumonia.
Poor little girl couldn't catch a break.
We had to do breathing treatments every 3 hours and take antibiotics. for 2 weeks.

Kaia and Sienna played at Grandma's while we were at the hospital with Sienna

One of the girls favorite things to do...

Atlanta Bread Co.
What cute little kids!

Zach and Tasha found a HUGE nasty snake in their driveway.  So they killed it and then Kaia and Sienna went to check it out.  Of Course.
