HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAIA...

I can't believe my daughter is TWO!

I love Kaia so much. It's sad how fast she has grown up. As I was putting her baby pictures on here I was thinking how fast time flies by. It seems like it was yesterday, but then I don't even remember her being a baby. She's such a little girl now.

She has been so fun. She came into this world with her own way of doing things. She's been a stubborn little girl since day 1, but she has also been the easiest child to raise. It's like she took Dusky and I by the hand and said "I know you guys don't have a clue what you are doing, so this is how you are supposed to do it."

Since she came along my life has been full of messes, kisses, "Big Hugs", and lots of laughing. She's the funniest little kid I know. We love her so much and we are so grateful that Heavenly Father let us have her.

First Birthday

PARTY TIME
We had a Birthday Party on Saturday. Lots of friends came and she had a blast!

Opening Presents....
She got a finding Nemo ball, a little Barbie make-up/blow dryer set, and everybody else gave her special markers that will only write on a certain kind of paper. I guess everyone has seen what my walls and couches look like. She seriously got like 4 different sets of markers and papers. It's awesome!

Her and Lawrence had a little collision. He came in crying, with a bloody nose and she didn't even blink. It was like she wasn't even aware that they had butted heads. She has a hard head like her dad. (Believe me, I know. She head butted me the other day and I still have a bruise above my eye). The next morning she woke up with a big goose egg and bruise on her forehead.

This morning I woke up and said "Happy Birthday Kaia. Now you're two!" and she smiled and said "Yep, No more one!"

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAIA! WE LOVE YOU!

DEER HUNT

Last weekend we went to Utah for the deer hunt. We weren't planning on going, but Thursday night Dusky was really wanting to be there and I really wanted the girls to be able to go to the cabin. So we ended up flying out on Friday. We didn't get up to the mountain until 4:00 in the morning. The airline lost all of our bags, carseats, etc. So we had to rent nasty carseats from Avis. We had to stop and buy the girls an outfit so they would have clothes for the next day, and get SIenna formula. We were so tired by the time we got there, but Dusky only slept for like 2 hours and then he got up and went hunting with everyone. Tanner got a deer the first morning (Suprise Suprise)
Saturday we had a big Holt family reunion. It was so fun to see everyone. We spent the day eating, talking, and going for jeep rides like the good ol' days. My girls were in heaven. Kaia played outside the entire day. She followed Daxton around all afternoon.

This is Kaia climbing up the ladder to the loft. Thanks Dusky, for teaching her that!

Naomi lost a game of BS and had to lick Kelly's face as a dare. I think he really enjoyed it!

Sunday afternoon Grandma and Grandpa Barney came up and they brought our bags. I was so excited to have clean clothes. We gave the girls a bath in the sink. Dusky and Tanner went to Kingston that night and Dusky got a deer.

On Monday we went down and hung out with the Gouldings. Kaia had a blast with all of her cousins. She loves "Damma and Dampa Doging" so much. She showed off for them all night. She knows all of her shapes, colors, and the first half of the alphabet. She talks so good now. It's fun because we can have full on conversations with her now. She also got to see Darren, Tricia, Chase and Branson. She hasn't stopped talking about Chase since then.

We're Famous...

Well, Renee Zellweger and Forest Whittaker are in filming a movie in Bunkie (a town 10 miles south of us). And yesterday they were filming at Lea's Pies in good ol' Lecompte. So we're pretty much famous!!!! Plus, the President was in Alexandria on Tuesday to talk about the economy. I feel so blessed to live in Louisiana =)

On another good note, we played outside all day yesterday and we had to wear our coats. It was so cold. I can't tell you how happy I am to have cold weather.

FUN FILLED WEEKEND.....

Last weekend Dusky went Elk hunting so I dropped the girls off in Georgia with my mom and flew to Salt Lake. I had a little girls weekend with my friends. It's been a while since we all got together. The only problem was that Stacie couldn't be there. But everyone else made it. It was so fun. I felt like I was in high school again. We got all loud and annoying the second we got together. By the way, did I mention how much I love my friends? They are all such wonderful people. I'm totally convinced that the friends you hang out with in High School make or break you. I'm so blessed to have the friends that I had. We all kept each other in line. We went to the temple and although I am a utah native it was my very first time going to the Salt Lake Temple. It was really cool. It's so neat that every single one of my friends has made it to the temple and we could all go together. The rest of the weekend was filled with shopping, hanging out on Andrea's bed talking, watching movies, and Eating ALOT! We laughed so hard I came close to peeing my pants a few times. Just like the good ol' days.

It snowed it Salt Lake. It was fun to have cold weather for a change.

This was the first time I had left the girls. I really missed them, and I missed Dusky but it was worth it!

When I came home Kaia was waiting out at the end of the driveway for me. I picked her up and she wouldn't let me put her down for about an hour. But she has a blast with damma, dampa, and Nomi

Thank Goodness for Dads...

Dusky came in the other day and said "Guess what I taught Kaia to do..." (like he was all proud of himself) So I walked outside to see. This is what I found. My 1 year old climbing the ladder all by herself and getting on the roof. That's where her and Dusky have been spending all of their free time.

Crazy Eyes

This is the wierdest thing....

Yes, that's really what my eye looked like. This picture doesn't even do it justice. I looked so scary that nobody could even stand to look at me.

I'll start from the beginning-I woke up one morning and put my contacts in. A little while later my eye started going really blurry. I thought that maybe I had something in my contact so I didn't really think much of it. Then my mom and Tasha looked at me and said "HOLY CRAP! What's wrong with your eye? I ran into the bathroom and looked in the mirror. On eye was dialated HUGE and the other one was totally normal. I took my contact out and layed down to close my eyes for a while. After about 1/2 an hour my eye was still crazy. We were shining flash lights into it and it wouldn't get smaller, so we called the eye doctor.

So lets back up a little....a few days before i was unloading stuff from the back of my car. I was bending down and as soon as I stood up, my mom jumped up, grabbed the door and pulled it down as hard as she could and it hit the top of my head so hard that it knocked me to the ground. So when this happened to my eye my mom was panicking. She thought she had given me brain damage so she told the eye doctor the story and he told her to bring me in immediatly.

We sat in the doctors office for like an hour while they did all sorts of tests on me. It turns out-I DON'T have a brain tumor, I Don't have any paralysis in any of my nerves, I just used an eye drop with Antihistamine in it. CRAZY. The night before I took my left contact out and my solution was upstairs. So I put a few of my mom's eye drops just on my left contact so it wouldn't dry out while I ran upstairs. So the next morning when I put my contact in, my eye had some sort of crazy reaction to the antihistamine. It was seriously the wierdest thing that ever happened to me. Dusky had been calling me "Crazy Eyes" ever since

Grandma with Sienna and Kaia.

Kaia's Favorite thing......
And it wears her out!
Here's the fall cake I made

Kaia keeps saying "Senny, sing a song...my turn, Haia sing a song" (she calls herself Haia)
