The whole potty training thing is over rated. I totally wasn't ready yet, but Kaia insists on going on the potty. So I guess that means she is ready. It's not that she doesn't go in the potty, but it is what she does after she goes. And we are still having a problem with the whole #2 thing.
I'll explain........
I was making lunch the other day and I thought the girls were being good. No one was crying, they were down in the living room playing with their toys. I should know by now, that when Kaia is involved, if it is quiet that means that something naughty is going on. So I came down to get them and they were both sitting there, laughing their heads off, and soaked. Their hair was dripping and their shirts were wet. Do you see where I'm going with this? I looked around the room trying to find a water bottle or something that they could have gotten wet with. Nothing. So I look in Kaia's potty. It's got a little bit of pee left. She had peed in her potty and was cupping it out with her hands and dumping it on Sienna's head. They both thought it was the funniest thing they had ever done. I said "Kaia!!! What did you put on your sisters head?" and she said "pee pee! ha ha ha!!!" I picked them up with the tips of my fingers and ran them straight to the bath tub. It was so disgusting. I have pictures of this, but they are on my other camera so I will have to post them later.
So at that point I decided, no more little potty. We are going to start using the big one. So she has done really well. Everytime she has to go pee, she comes and tells me and I go put her on the big toilet.
I guess she didn't think she had to do that when she was going poo. She came running into my room and said "Mommy, Bad!" and she pointed to the living room floor. This is what I found.....

Nicole, your little Kaia has me nearly in tears from laughing so hard!!! You are such a brave mom!
Oh my disgusting. but I can't say that hasn't happened to me before...because you know it has.
I am staling Creed as long as I can....I am not ready for poo on the carpet.
good luck with that!
by the way...what did your clean freak husband think of that?
Oh dear... isn't it amazing that these things don't really surprise us all that much as mothers. Disgusting comes with the job. Good luck with the rest of potty training. I'm glad I'm not there yet!
oh my CRAP! :) hmmm....it must be the goulding in her! Interesting how she pointed to the poop "naughty" like she knew it was bad...I found a good book for that...:)Let me know if you want the name of it.
Seriously, she is so funny. My biggest problem with potty training was her dumping her own little potty in the big potty. Then her independant self insisting on wiping herself. Stuff always ended up everywhere! Check out our blog for your Christmas card:)

This is the best story I have ever heard!
That's great! I thought only my dog left trails of poop like that!
We found your blog tonight!!!! What??? You have two kids now???? Holy cow: that Kiai sure knows how to get into trouble! She is so cute!
Hello from Quinn and Nicole

Hi- I'm a friend of Dusky's (from HS) and I found your blog. I have to say, that is the saddest & funniest story I've heard in a while. I potty-trained 3 of my kids this last year, and it was pretty scary at times. I felt like my house was a big urinal, or at least smelled that way. But, none of my stories even touch yours. Hilarious!! Thanks for the laugh.
